A hopping good time thanks to the combined efforts of the IRB Homeowners Association and the City of Indian Rocks Beach!
What is normally a great event was nothing short of spectacular this year...thanks to Guppy's, Plumlee Realty, Chase Bank, Get Fitness and Publix along with a bevy of HOA volunteers who answered the bell at 6 a.m.! Gallop Chairperson Wendi Carmody kicked things up a notch with ankle transponder timing chips to record runner times as they crossed the Chase Bank Finish Line. Not sure how we'll do better next year...but you can bet we will!
Happy Hour at the Pub was a week earlier than usual so as to not conflict with Valentine's Day. First photo: Happy Hour Chairpersons Terri Pogash and Ruth McGee followed by a happy, happy group of Homeowners enjoying an unbelievable spread courtesy of our friends at The Pub. Their staff even made a quick switcheroo to move us indoors due to weather conditions and added live music as a bonus!
We saved the best Happy Hour for last! Century 21 Beggins did it again this year, opening their doors to us! The Red Lion pitched in and donated the beer and the sea of toys we collected was nothing short of amazing. Beggins' Kathy MacKinnon reeled in an entire room full of bicycles and helmets and the HOA provided $500 in Walmart gift certificates. This event made the holidays much brighter for children at Grace House, a shelter for homeless families and for the children of homeless veterans, coordinated by the American Legion/Madeira Beach.
2012 Taste of IRB Saturday, November 3rd The 6th Annual Taste of IRB brought out an estimated 6,000 folks to enjoy a day and evening of wonderful food, live music and community spirit. The weather could not have been more cooperative and, once again, the Homeowners volunteers produced an event that got rave reviews from the entire community with the support of our generous sponsors. And...as usual...we managed to have a bunch of fun in the process. See...
