We are having a Poker Run Sept. 11th from 12-8pm. Day of Registration will be held at City Hall from 12 to 2pm. The end of the run party is at Crabby's Loading Dock and there will be lots of fun places in between. The goal is to visit the participating bars and restaurants from 12-8pm. At each location someone will sign your registration form and give you a playing card - limit one card per person per location. Make your best five card poker hand and present it at the Crabby’s Loading Dock party, for a chance to win prizes. If you don't know how to play poker, someone will be available to help you pick your best hand.

We have a number of IRB locations for you to visit . Each will be offering different drink specials. You don't have to visit them all, You can choose which ones you want to go to, but you do need 5 to make your poker hand. We encourage everyone NOT TO DRIVE! Take the trolley or since these are all in IRB, walk the route.

This year we will be offering special edition Poker Run T-Shirts for $10 each. To be guaranteed a shirt, you must register by Sunday September 5th. There will be prizes for the top and the worst hands. You must be present to win!

The cost to participate is $5 per person in advance or $15 with a t-shirt, $10 the day of the event or $20 with a shirt, if they are still available. Early registration, with no shirt, closes Thursday, September 24th. Registration forms are available here, and will be at our Aug. and Sept. Happy Hours and in the IRB Neighborhood Newsletter. All participants will receive a Homeowners Koozie along with their registration card. We encourage everyone to register in advance.

Taste of IRB

If you would like to be a vendor or volunteer to sell drink tickets or raffle tickets, or to serve beer and wine please email us!.

Once again the Homeowners will be sponsoring a raffle for A Chance to Win over $500 in Gift Certificates plus Additional Prizes and Gifts from all the vendors. Tickets will be on sale now for $2 each or 3 for $5. Tickets will be available at upcoming Happy Hours begining in September and events, plus they will be sold during the event. You don't need to be present to win.

Admission is FREE and everyone is invited! Bring lawn chairs or blankets, and plan to spend the evening. All Proceeds will go back to the community through the Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association.

Coolers and dogs are prohibited. Restrooms will be available.

This year's event was a great success! We had over 275 registered runners, which was our largest turn-out ever. We want to thank all the volunteers that helped make this year's Guppy's Gulfside Gallop happen. Thanks go out to our event sponsor Guppy's on the Beach, USA Grocers who supplied fruit, cups, and jugs of water, and to Publix who supplied bagels and cases of water!

Next year's race will be April 2nd, 2011. See you then!
